I started playing Animal Crossing on my older siblings DS as a young child!
(I'm younger than the series!)
My first game was
Wild World and I didn't really understood the point of the game at the time;
I mostly spent my time selling fruit and talking to the villagers.
Eventually, I realized just how much there was to do in the game, but I shortly lost the cartridge after. :(
In 2019, I finally got a 3DS and my own cartridge of
New Leaf: Welcome Amiibo!
This is still a game I have, and definitely the end of the beginning of my love of this series!
In February 2020, when I learned that there was a new game releasing so soon after
I had just gotten the previous I was excited!
(Such is the way of recieving a game 3 years after the last major update and rerelease.)
This did result in a lot of other related Animal Crossing purchases that were more obtainable for me at the time,
such as
Happy Home Designer spin-off, and a
Club Mocchi-Mocchi plush pillow.
During the winter holiday season that year, my parents surprised me with my very own Animal Crossing themed Switch and a copy of
New Horizons!
As of writing (August 2025), I am still playing my
NH game often, and I have started to dabble in game modifications for the older games.
(Thanks to my partners letting me use their copies! I missed
WW and finally can play the others too!)
I also sometimes make edits on
Nookipedia!
